Hello! Just finished translating and editing this comic. It’s the longest one I’ve made so far and very special to me.

Hahhahhah… I can’t stop laughing . this is totally relating to mynpregnancy before 17 years. I was like dramatic to climb up and down the stairs, walked around and even wantbto an extent to sir and clean the toilet bowl so that i can get the pain. My doc strictly wanted me to have a natural labour. Finally i gave birth at 10.28pm. Absolutely hilarious and I enjoyed it to the core. Loads of love:)

🙂 this is SO MUCH like my experience! I did eventually manage to avoid c-section (though I was literally 5 minutes from getting one) and now have a beautiful 5 year old son.
How did your second one go?
I was terrified that it’ll look exactly the same, as I was quite overdue both times, but it turned out OK.
Unfortunately I again didn’t manage to have a water birth, as my daughter (5 month old now) was born before the pool got filled with water 🙂

I was laughing all the way reading your comic.. exactly how I had my emergency C-Sec after 2 failed attempts (14hours) to dilate. The only difference is I have needle phobia and I only got to know my husband is not allowed into the OT the moment I reached the OT doors. I was alone when they gave me those deadly jabs and epidural. All is worth it seeing my lil princess. I’m now wondering if I want to opt for C-Sec for my second. Still having nightmares thinking about the pelvic exams.. 😨😨

Hi, just wanted to say I enjoy your comic and can totally identify with the knife and axe (I described the contraction pain to my husband and friends as someone taking a big knife and slashing me up from the inside). And I hated the pelvic exam too. And my membrane sweep for my first child was omg crazy! Honestly, the doctor does matter!

Thanks for this comic ! Brought back so much memories of my 2 deliveries. I had to induce for the first one and went through the same walking and waiting like you. And thankfully my doctor was patient n supportive. For the 2nd one I had an emergency cesarean. Thanks once again for creating this !!!

I know the feeling of wanting a natural birth and then having no choice but to have a c-section in the end – that really sucks but oh so true, that when you lay eyes on your baby, he/she is just so perfect that it does not matter anymore. I had the privilege of having a VBAC after my first c-section, hope you did too

omg this is 90% my experience too.. the epidural administering part and the csect after close to 24 hours of wait and the black out part!! totally!!

Hahahahahahaha this is absolutely funny yet ridiculously similar to my experience (except my oxy didn’t work as well as yours..so I didn’t get past 3 cm. And not much pain. I waited 36 hrs past water breaking. And salt fish! Yes, you finally worded how & what I felt like! All this time, I thought I examplified one of those frogs in the science lab where legs propped apart & being cut open (I’ve had 3 csecs without much labor pain- my body just wouldn’t dilate). I’ll so share this. Thanks very much!

I swear I could have written this. This was exactly how my delivery was, with the dilation (or non) and c-sec at the end of it, even with the shaking. Goodness, we are helluva survivors eh. Thank you for this!

lol.. likely the meds they gave u to stop u from shivering is pethidine. It is a type of opioid effective in stopping post-spinal/epidural shivering, but side effects include sleepiness/drowsiness, perhaps that’s y u blacked out 🙂

This is exactly happened to me 1 year ago. Since that I’m in the government hospital I need to face it alone 😫. I feel you and it is all worth it when you look at your sweet baby ❤️

OMG! Sound so similar to mine too! Just that I quarreled with the doctor and insisted I get the epidural after 2 pessaries (for inducing birth), cos I was cramping up like every min or two, and the nightmare was I was still only 1cm dilated! Thank God after I’ve got my epidural, within 5 hours, I had full dilation and LO was at the “gantry” just waiting for my push.

I’m laughing my guts out! Although I could relay to some parts of your delivery as I have had two difficult ones myself, I still want to applaud to you being able to present your journey in such a hilarious sense!

Nature sucks. It is awful, it has bugs and disease and pain and nothing for the pain. “Natural” childbirth is a thing people died in for most of history. Fuck that macho BS. We have wonderful tools and techniques to make sure the number of people goes up.
You want to do shit the old-fashioned way? Help some Amish friends raise a barn. Train a carrier pigeon instead of using a cellphone. Don’t go stone-age on an infant.

If i could draw out my experience with giving birth this is how it would be LOL, except mine was delivered naturally and having half my doctor’s arm up my vagina pulling stuff out is more terrifying and i wasn’t even on epidural or sedated at that point. Had to see all those gross stuff.
The only thing i can do i write a length blog post which would probably bore people to death XD
